Already in the Wirral Waters development we have the Wirral Met College Construction campus, and in the future, Liverpool John Moore’s University will extend their presence here as part of the Maritime Knowledge Hub project. The new STEM centre at Wirral Met will ensure that young people are emerging from college with the skills it takes to go directly into employment. We are also working to secure a Government Catapult Centre at Wirral Waters. This will provide high-level Apprenticeship courses in modular construction and digital design.
We hope that by offering the people with the right skills at the right time we can keep some of that talent within the Wirral. To that end, Peel will be working with educational providers to offer bespoke training packages for companies.
