The new Egerton Square plans have been designed by OMI Architects in the area adjacent to Wirral Metropolitan College campus at Wirral Waters. OMI are the architects behind such innovative projects as All Souls Bolton, which involved converting an historic parish church into a community building and Dukes 92 in the Castlefield area of Manchester.

Egerton Square will provide local amenities for the emerging Four Bridges quarter.

The aim is to attract local food and drink producers to sell their wares, and to create a hub for SMEs from the creative industries, as well as a focal point and destination for locals working, studying and living in the area.

The winning design scheme is currently being tested with potential occupiers and will be submitted for planning approval later in 2017.

Nick Berry, Director of OMI Architects said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to create a real place defined by an exciting and diverse range of uses and activities. The ‘Village’ concept will provide an opportunity for small local businesses to contribute to Peel’s vision for this unique waterside environment.”
